Poster Abstracts and Information
The theme for the Conference is “A New Era for NOAA Environmental Satellites”. Abstracts are requested on a wide range of topics, to include, but not limited to:
- enhanced interaction and coordination with new environmental satellite programs;
- reception and readiness for data, technology and applications from legacy and new-era polar-orbiting and geostationary environmental satellite constellations;
- use of environmental (atmospheric, ocean, land, cyrosphere and space) satellite data by leveraging science advances, data fusion, blended products, decision aids, advanced visualization, instrument and product calibration and validation, and new data assimilation techniques, and;
- education and user training resources available for the new era of environmental satellites.
This conference is a combination of past Direct Readout, GOES Users’, and Polar Max Conferences. The program committee is interested in both broad and specific examples of how users currently apply (or plan to apply) satellite information by each of these communities.
Poster Display Panels, Mounting and Configuration
Each poster must be constructed to not exceed 4 feet (120 cm) by 4 feet (120 cm). Posters will be mounted to a double-sided panel which allows two posters to be displayed on each side. There will be push pins available from registration to hang the posters at the given location. These panels have a horizontal orientation. The top edge of the panel is approximately seven feet (2 meters) above the floor. The bottom edge is usually three feet (1 meter) above the floor.
